Abstract

Allergic diseases are a growing global health concern, affecting individuals of all ages. Accurate diagnosis is crucial for effective management and improved quality of life for allergic patients. This article provides a comprehensive guide to allergy diagnosis for healthcare professionals, encompassing a detailed medical history, thorough physical examination, and appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing. We will discuss various diagnostic modalities, including in vitro IgE testing, skin prick tests, and provocation tests, along with their interpretations and clinical relevance. Additionally, we will highlight the importance of patient education and shared decision-making in the allergy diagnosis process.
