Currently, two-dimensional (2D) echocardiography (EchoCG) is one of the most widely used methods for diagnosing acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This method is informative and safe, can be easily applied at the hospital bed and is of great importance for the dynamic monitoring of the patient. EchoCG has been shown to have diagnostic advantages in making the diagnosis, establishing the location and size of myocardial infarction (MI), and in identifying mechanical complications after MI.
